S'Links Gourmet Hot Dogs opening soon in Old Town Monrovia

That's right! Monrovia will be welcoming its very own gourmet hot dog restaurant in the upcoming weeks. S'Links will be located at 630 S. Myrtle Ave and boasts a family friendly environment, great food, eating competitions, and much more. We hope to see you there.

American Express Filmed Commercial in Old Town

Skunk Productions filmed a national American Express commercial on Thursday morning in Old Town. The commercial will promote Small Business Saturday.

In the past some of our merchants were actually participants of Small Business Saturday, which is a program that promotes businesses just like the ones we have in Old Town Monrovia.

It was a one day filming. The crew and extras were seen on the 400 block yesterday morning. The extras had shopping bags and were walking and sitting along Myrtle.

Win a $100 in Old Town 'Spring Fling'

Calling all Old Town shoppers: You could be elibigle for $100 in gift certificates to your favorite Old Town business.

All you need to do is bring in proof of purchase from three Old Town businesses with purchase dates from March 2 to March 30. In lieu of one receipt, you could also bring in a Spring Fling Monrovia Weekly coupon published on 3/8 or 3/22.

Drop off the receipts by 5 p.m. on March 30 to one of five Old Town businesses:

• Six 2 Six at 114 S. Myrtle Avenue
• The Dollmakers' Kattywompus at 412 S. Myrtle Avenue
• The Peach Cafe at 141 E. Colorado Blvd
• Friends of Dorothy at 139 E. Lemon
• Candy Connection at 521 S. Myrtle Avenue

The winner will be announced on March 30 at 8:30 p.m.

The event is part of an ongoing campaign to bring shoppers to Old Town Monrovia.
